Faith formation is a multifaceted process of
religious education
encompassing a process of lifelong growth in understanding of
our faith. It is an essential part of parish life designed to reflect
on and deepen knowledge of the basic doctrines, beliefs and
traditions of the Catholic Church. Designed to strengthen and
encourage active participation in all aspects of church life.
Faith Formation is offered for children, youth, and adults of all
ages. Growth in faith is a lifelong process and is essential to
the life of the parish. It is a unified process designed to connect
life with faith by integrating spiritual, intellectual, personal, and
social growth.
We believe that the family is the primary influence on the faith
development of children and therefore offer parent programs especially
during preparation for the sacraments of Reconciliation, Confirmation
and Eucharist. Parent involvement at all levels is strongly promoted.
Families are urged to participate regularly in the Sunday Liturgy for it
is in the midst of the parish life in the celebration of the Eucharist
that we become one with Christ and with each other.
